At A Loss For: A Public Grief Manifesto

As a multi disciplinary artist, the intention of my work is to put a critical lensĀ on Western society and the capitalist and (hetero)normative undercurrents which shape such. From a feminist stance and through different mediums such as film, photography, sculpture and sound my work aims to reshape normative ways of thinking as a means to liberate change. By continuously providing a playful visual framework for such, the works I create further aim to assemble spaces in which these undercurrents are made more accessible.

Mom never learned me how to grief; Influenced by inspirational notions found in global cultural rituals and artistry regarding grief in which we can find collectivity and expression, The project At A Loss For: A Public Grief Manifesto aims to redesign Western grief conventions from an artistic yet bereaved stance. To liberate room and generate visibility for grief expression in a capitalist death denying society, the project displays that grief is a natural part of all life and that any expression of such is so as well.
