”As a person of color, I strive to provide for representation of Black people, inclusivity and different cultural perspectives in a white design world”

Hi, I’m Dio Melvin, a Rotterdam based visual designer.

I use my multicultural background to help people of color through corporate identity, brand strategy and visual design, to start up their business and succeed. But also help non-people-of-color to broaden their audience, by involving the perspective of people from different cultural backgrounds in the strategy and design process.

Behold a campaign directed by art-director and visual designer Dio Melvin aka. Diofics. This campaign explores the importance of a clear brand identity, based on strategy.

Nowadays, in the digital visual age, people have the need to feel connected to an artist before listening to their music first. Why is that? What is the importance of a visual identity and how can we use this in our advantage?

Meet Quincy aka. QTheMarker, an all-round multitalented artist, with a focus on rap and producing. What you see here are the visual identity and edited advertising posters from a directed styled photoshoot by Dio.

We hope you’ll feel intrigued and give QTheMarker a listen on Spotify and check out Diofics.nl
