“The Emporer is Naked”

This project explores notions of power and control in the context of a meaning deprived, hyper-individualistic Western European society. It probes at misinformation, and the sinister ways that it is used to pit people against each other.
It is not a revolt against technology, rather a tribute to it. It emphasizes dynamism, speed, technology and violence through objects such as 3D prints, metal sculpture and fabric.
The folktale The Emperor’s New Clothes forms the symbolic basis for the visual expression of the above concepts, and the video link below was the self-positioning and starting point for the project.
