HUSHED is a global project with the goal to gather a collective film archive created by a variety of artists with different music, visual, and literary backgrounds. HUSHED is inviting filmmakers to offer their visual interpretations of what it means to be “silenced” and together, we can create a platform that makes these silences no longer hushed, but clearly visible.
HUSHED is a project about silence. About all the words unsaid, about the unspeakable, the repressed, the erased, the unheard. It is about all the truths muted that still quietly linger in our cultures, our families, and our own bodies. HUSHED is about nothing else then the ever-present loss of language.
To kick-start this project/archive I will present my own film series which explores different types of silencing.
