Comfort Coats

With her project Comfort Coats, visual artist Carlinda Boom (1994) consciously combines their ‘horse practice’ and art practice by elaborating on the importance of human-animal relationships. Boom captured and transformed her horses’ coats to research and embody the relationships she has with the horses and thus the way she communicates with them, the trust they have built over years or just moments.
