Where Chaos Meets Calm is an immersive project that delves into the notion of home beyond its physical confines. It offers a transformative journey of self-discovery, contemplation, and the pursuit of serenity through the simple act of walking.
At its core lies “Walking Piece,” an instruction book carefully crafted to cultivate a sense of calmness while walking; encased within a stone, the book serves as a vessel for tranquility.
Its pages hold curated instructions that gently guide you through your walk. Each instruction can be absorbed at your own pace, with the option to tear out the pages and savor one instruction at a time or embrace the book as a whole. As the instructions are torn out, they leave behind a collection of pictures, capturing the hidden beauty beneath our feet. These images form the remaining book, preserving the moments of stillness and wonder encountered along the journey.
The stone, embodying the weight we bear physically and spiritually, serves as a palpable reminder of the journey undertaken and the pursuit of belonging and a sense of home. As the stone is carried while walking, its weight is keenly felt, grounding and evoking reflection. At the opportune moment, an invitation is extended to discover a meaningful location that aligns with one’s innate sense of home and belonging. Placing the stone in that chosen spot becomes powerful, representing the release of burdens and creating space for new experiences and connections.

It invites you to reflect on the weight you carry and the significance of letting go while simultaneously encouraging a deep appreciation for the often-overlooked beauty surrounding us.
