Reality Check’23 ready-to-wear collection is a visualization of a different perception of the world. Exploring the sense of belonging, impression of distortion, and discovering the subconscious. The forms are drawn from dreams, digitally draped on a body, and turned into garments. Each look has a distinct meaning. As a whole, they embody my distorted reality.
Every look in the collection is made out of unconventional patterns that come from illustrations depicting my dreams. To be able to use these shapes as patterns I decided to design by draping in the digital environment.
The fabrics I designed are inspired by photographs I took of my surroundings that represent distortion.
