Spetters! reimagines and challenges the prevailing beauty standards within the queer community.

In a world where the ideal man is often represented as white, masculine, tall, and hung as a horse, a hierarchical system emerges, leaving those who don’t conform to these ideals at the bottom of the pyramid.

In our hyper-visual society, these representations have significant consequences for mental health.

Recognising this, the “Spetters” calendar presents a fresh perspective on how we can redefine attractiveness and sexuality. By redesigning the ultimate symbol of sex appeal and beauty ideals, the sexy calendar, this project aims to shed light on the diversity and beauty within the queer community. Who else can represent these traditional sexy clichés, and how can we construct new norms?
