THERESIA is a fashion collection that reflects on Robin Theresia Josephina Hamers’ ballet past. A collection executed technically and in accuracy, whose details make it unique. A collection that is wearable in multiple ways, giving the wearer freedom over the garment.
THERESIA reflects the contrasting realities of the world of ballet. It draws inspiration from the beauty of graceful movements, expressions and costumes and the harshness of intense training. Through this lens, the THERESIA collection captures what it means to be a ballerina: the struggles, sacrifices and immense emotional and physical strength it takes to be on stage. THERESIA’s work is a tribute to ballet dancers’ resilience, passion and creativity.
However, it offers something unique- freedom. The wearer is presented with the power to style the garments as desired- an aspect I missed in multiple ways in the restrictive ballet world. THERESIA celebrates individuality and self-expression. Versatile designs encourage wearers to express their unique personalities by transforming the pieces to their taste. Each item is carefully crafted to empower and inspire.
THERESIA serves as a nostalgic reminder of my ballet history and an hommage to the future I aspire to create.
