IN JUST A DAY is a visual publication that depicts the experiences of a young woman, as she navigates through various stages of anticipatory grief within a single day.
The interaction between the illustrations on each spread explains the narrative, making use of metaphors and symbolism to convey meaning.
This project is born out of the need for clarity. Going through anticipatory grief, I longed for a suitable outlet to make my undefined emotions tangible and find consolation for my anguish. This project is the result of an exercise in visualising the intangibility of this type of grief. By giving shape to my experiences, I hope to encourage open conversation about this topic, and provide comfort and validation to individuals in similar situations.
