In this world fungi are one of the main participants and yet they are still rarely recognized for their important role.
Decomposition of organic matter is only one of those processes which wouldn’t be possible without fungi. I see
something poetic in their work, their role being on the line between life and death and making the circle of life
tangible.
I wanted to find the right storytelling elements to visualize this concept because the more I was reading and
watching about it, the more I could feel how my personal relationship with death changes and becomes more
accepting and positive. They helped me heal and gave sense of my grief.
