Pieces of me is a short story exploring the difficulties that come with growing up as a young black child in The Netherlands. What is it like growing up in a country where you will often feel like the “other”, even when trying your best to fit in.
The story of the film is centred around a character called Viz. She is first seen preparing for her daily life on the way to school. During her morning routine it is evident that she tries to hide parts of herself, as she feels that she is not like the other kids in her class.
